From Marrakesh, you will take the direction of Ouarzazate, driving up
Tizi n’ Tichka pass (altitude:2260m) in the Great Atlas, the highest pass in Morocco.
You will go across the mountains to reach Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage, and where famous films such as " Lawrence of Arabia", "Gladiator", "the Mummy" or" Game of Thrones" were shot.
The trip will continue towards Dades Gorges then Ourzazate, also called the Hollywood of Morocco. Visit of the movie studios.
Driving to Kelaat m’Gouna, also called Roses valley and famous for its rose festival, you will then reach Dades Valley, where you will stop for the night in a riad or a local hotel.
You will appreciate the crossing of Todra Gorges, a small paradise for climbers. Exploring the gorges, you will enjoy the beautiful view over the Berber villages.
Your trip will then continue towards Erfoud, to visit the marble factory and take some free time for some shopping.
Arriving at Rissani, former economic capital of Morocco, you will enjoy the charm of the local souks, where all the nomads do their shopping before going back to their life in the desert.
Then direction Merzouga, where the Sahara desert is, here, called Erg Chebbi. After a short camel ride, you will admire the sunset from the dunes.
Before the night in a Berber tent, you will taste a traditional tajine, sharing the life style of some nomads around a campfire and enjoying the night sky.
To start the day, your guide will wake you up early to admire the beautiful sunrise in the dunes of the Sahara. Then back to the village for a wash and breakfast.
Back on the road, crossing some Berber villages, you will arrive at Ouarzazate, where you will stay for the night.
