The trip starts at Fez, then Ifrane, a beautiful city up in the mountain, often called Moroccan Switzerland!
After a stop in Cedar forest, the largest forest of Morocco in the Middle Atlas, to spot monkeys living in the wild, you will continue towards Azrou.
At Midelt, a city famous for its minerals and its apple production, you will continue in Ziz Valley, to Erfoud for the visit of the marble factory and some time off for shopping.
Then direction Rissani, the former economic capital of Morocco. There you will enjoy the charm of the local souks, where all the nomads come to do their shopping before going back to their life in the desert.
Finally, direction Merzouga, where the Sahara desert is, here, called Erg Chebbi.
You will stay in a hotel overlooking the dunes of the desert.
You will explore the desert by four-wheel drive after breakfast. You will enjoy the tour in the dunes, visit some oases and Khamlia, a village famous for its Gnaoua music. Your guide will explain the historical importance of this people from Black Africa.
You will also visit some Berber nomads in the desert and share a very special moment with them.
Back to the village, you will enjoy a short camel ride and the sunset from the dunes.
Before the night in a Berber tent, you will taste a traditional tajine, sharing the life style of some nomads around a campfire and enjoying the night sky.
After breakfast, you will leave Fez via Rissani and Erfoud to continue in Ziz valley, driving through Tafilalet, and enjoying the fabulous landscapes over the Gorges and the palm trees.
You will stop on the way for lunch, then direction Azrou, with the marvellous landscapes of the Middle Atlas.
This trip will end at Fez, late afternoon, and we will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport.
